Good weekend to you too, Sue! A different sign, indeed:) You asked our sleeping in light nights. I don`t want to sleep at all, colors are so soft and just now I hear a nightingale singing, it`s 00:20 am, but I will be awake still at least one hour. I could sleep, a brightness does not bother me, but I wouldn`t because of all this beauty after a long winter. Fortunately I don`t need much to sleep :) Nice dreams to you, Sue !
If nothing else, the sign doesn't allow you miss it's message. It's like speed limit signs of 21 1/2 miles per hour -- you take noitce of that a lot more than a 20 mph sing.
Good catch of an unusual sign. I am assuming this is the touristy part of Sacremento! Or perhaps people are finding alternatives to those pesky gasoline prices!
I have a passion for photography. I use my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3, so come with me and see Rocklin, California and points North, South, East and West.

That's a good one! Hope you enjoy the weekend also.
But have you seen horses and wagons ? This sign is maybe still useful.

Do you actually have horses in town? Perhaps this is meant as a joke? Nice street Lamp. Must be in an older part of town.

Perhaps in anticipation of a lack of oil ...
That's a great sign and no I don't think I've ever seen one like that before.
