AUTUMN PREP

We thought this was the start of a fire but its just a controlled burn to get the fields ready for the next season. It made an interesting thing to watch though. Posted by Picasa

We do those controlled fires here in Australia too, especially important just before our long dry Summers.

It is interesting to watch. We have farmers doing that right now too. Probably not great if you live in the area.

This landscape makes me want to hop a plane and get there. We always drove down your way when autumn came on, although not on festival weekend. The nip is in the air here in Seattle, and it makes me think of your area. This is a wonderful capture of that smoke plume.
