Thankful Thursday
Tis a beautiful day here in Northern California.
There will be some on-going yard work being done before it gets too hot for me to pull those "darn" weeds.
I just wanted to make some further comments on my Wordless Wednesday post from yesterday. The photo was taken at the California State Fair about 8 years ago. I love when I can see a story in just one shot. The man was sitting reading a Fair newspaper with his face hidden and the clincher was the small sign attached to the quilt hanging behind him. I am thankful for the humor I saw in that shot. I would never make fun of someone and never print it publicly. To the anonymous person who is ALWAYS so critical of my posts I say: To each his own, I did no harm and I found it to be annoying.
If you don't like something at least say who you are...
That being said I am Thankful for all of you who look at my blog and comment. I love that we are family. I just needed to get that off my chest. I won't change what I do and sometimes I see things differently but isn't that what makes us all unique?
I will end this post with a beautiful sunset from 2 nights ago.
Thankful for God's magnificent sunsets that are new every evening.
Always be Grateful
Always be Kind

Oh, I love that beautiful sunset! And about the anonymous commenter, those who make snarky comments without leaving their name, I usually delete them and not give them the satisfaction of seeing their snarkiness published for all the world to see. Some people really enjoy inflicting hurt and unkindness on others, but they are not courageous enough to say who they are, because they know how wrong they are and they don't want the same hurt hurled back at them. You, dear Sue, are so very kind and always post such uplifting and thoughtful posts, and also some fun ones that we all enjoy, like the last one, and we never thought anything unpleasant about it at all. It was just fun, and I bet the fellow reading the paper would've enjoyed it too! I am so sorry that there are people in this world who are so unhappy that they want everyone else to be unhappy with them. "Misery loves company", so they say. The best thing we can do is pray for them. Perhaps Jesus can bring a smile to their faces.
ReplyDeleteGood grief!! You did not show his face. And it was so cute, it looked like he was up for auction himself and I think gave us all a laugh that day. I guess the man would not be happy about it, IF we saw his face and he was identified!
ReplyDeleteP.s. Love the sky shot!!! I got so upset about your comment that I had forgotten all about it!
ReplyDeleteGrrr - why do some people just want to be hateful and rude? I thought it was cute and I think the man in the picture probably would have laughed too. So pay no attention to anonymous commenters!
ReplyDeleteThe sunset is gorgeous!
As for the anonymous commenter. I used to get them all the time. Now I only accept those with a blogger profile. I still have a couple that even with their fake profile, they still will post but since I moderate, I just delete them. Haters gonna hate.
ReplyDeleteYes beautiful weather we're having and your sunset photo is gorgeous. Everything is blooming and has my spring allergies flaring up. Itcy watery eyes, even the roof of my mouth itches! It will pass.
You know - our group of bloggers - love each other. We should know by now others hearts. We have all had that too!
ReplyDeleteYour sunset is gorgeous.
I thought your photo was humorous, yesterday. I started moderating my comments years ago because of hateful comments. There will always be someone who wants to be rude :( Thank you for linking up. I also enjoy our blogging family!
ReplyDeleteGrrrrrrr! "Anonymous" hasn't been by my blog lately, but if he/she does their venom's going right in the trash. Like that Billy Joel song lyric, "Don't go changing to try and please; (we) want you just the way you are!"
ReplyDeleteI find it infuriating when people complain and use "anonymous" to hide behind. Too many people have to voice their negativity on every little thing. If you don't like something just move along. I for one found your photo funny.
ReplyDeleteI love the sunset photo today as well.
I think we had the same coward anonymous jerk. But since all the bombings...I haven't heard from him. Hopefully it will stay that way.
ReplyDeleteLove your photos!
hugs
Donna
What a pretty sunset. I miss seeing the sunrises in your area. They had some glorious ones. I used to get a Starbuck's coffee and drive over to the trail or my favorite park in that area, and sit and enjoy and just gaze at the sunrises. They were so beautiful with lots of color. Have a peaceful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you have someone who is always critical on your posts. What a lovely sunset. Hope you have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteAhh, beautiful post. The weather is amazing here in the mountains of SoCal and we only had one snow event at our altitude of 4800 feet. Nothing like Snowmageddon in 2023. Hope you and family are doing well.
ReplyDeleteNever would I see you as harmful or anything. I am behind so I'm reading blogs out of order. Headed over to see your WW now. I tell you, I love your photos. Your heart is kind and your eye is amazing. Truly.
ReplyDeleteWhat a magnificent shot of the sunset. It's just gorgeous.
