THE WILD BLUE YONDER

Saturday Mr. Mapper and his family and Hubby and I went to see the Blue Angels. This took place at the California Capital Airshow. The thunderous sound of six F-18 Blue Angels flying over our heads at 800 mph was awesome. The clouds were awesome too. Over the next few days I will share some of the shots I took with my little Sony Cybershot camera. I hope you will enjoy them.
Be sure to enlarge the photo to see the details.

    Good Monday morning, Sue.
I hope this beginning week will be happy to you.

I am always admiring, how fine pictures you can get by your "little Sony" as you said.
Like today`s clouds and those plains, they are so alive as enlarged, thank you for the show!

  4. Sue, Watching the Blue Angels is always a thrill. You took a fine photo--not easy to capture, either!

  6. Great photo! I love going to air shows, but I haven't been to one in quite a while. With two young sons, we went to many air shows over the years. But it's starting to be a rare occurrence now, the insurance is far too high for many of the smaller shows.

  8. I giggled for a second after reading your comment about how you and heights don't get along and then coming to see you watching the Blue Angels. You like heights from a particular vantage point, I think.

  10. Sue, I would say the skies set a beautiful stage for those Blue Angels, and this is a perfect shot, doing justice to both.

  16. I'm totally amazed at this shot. I was at a Blue Angels show once but my pictures didn't capture anything that captured the feeling.

  17. Hi Sue! Thanks for your comment on La China again. I always love it when I know you have stopped by. And your comments are wonderful and make my day. You are right, life is pretty darn good.

I love this shot of the clouds and Blue Angel. I used to love going to the AFB and seeing the airshows.

  21. Absolutely gorgeous image, Sue. This is definitely larger is better. Have you consider printing this large? If you have drought, try 15"x10" for starter. I think it is still small for this great image.
I love how you capture sun at the corner and well controlled light, volume of cloud and trail of those F-18s. Fantastic!
