It always docks at the nearest birth to our 25th April Bridge, which is a perfect copy of your G.G. It is always a spectacular sight and I have always got as excited as all the other people - young & old, rich & poor - who stop to marvel at it. However, the best visit was when I knew 6 weeks in advance what day it was coming,in May 05, because I had friends from London cruising on her. Usually, it's next to impossible to know this, unless you know people working in cruise-ship tourism, excursion guides etc. I devoted the whole day to its visit, from being alone next to it at 7.30 a.m. dockside till it sailed out at 4.30 pm. I even crossed the river to see it from the other side. Spent a few hours with my friends, lunching and showing them my alternative view of the city. When it sailed out, I was at the top of the Belem Tower (with 3 cameras) suddenly, my cell-phone rang. It was my 2 friends, who asked where I was and told me where they were standing, so I got a shot of them, clearly visible and waving. All the tourists around me from all over the world were as excited as I was! I'll have to post some on my place to show you, PWB, although I think I already did many months ago.Icarushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08516491146437398690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18177038.post-26195077431943407912007-02-06T12:36:00.000-08:002007-02-06T12:36:00.000-08:00It's a massive ship.
