AFTER THE FIRST RAIN

I went out in our yard this morning.

We had a pretty good soaking rain over the last two days.

The wind and rain pretty much stripped the trees of their gorgeous leaves.

I love the shadows and carpet of leaves still on the ground.

Make sure you enlarge the photos to see the detail.

The back yard has all of its color on the ground.

Please enlarge the photo to really see the detail.

More rain is on the way.

Not good for the victims of the fires up in Paradise, CA.

Flash Floods are occurring due to so much devastation in the fire area.

So sad and tragic.

flash floods in CA and now earthquakes in Alaska... that first photo is just beautiful. I love the mix of leaves and bare branches, it really is lovely, standing over the carpet of its own leaves. I dropped the 2 pounds at weigh in yesterday, that is for 2 weeks but I did it.

Strange, when I enlarged the pictures, they got smaller! BUT they are nice and big the way they are. They are really beautiful.

Our leaved had mostly fallen from the trees but then the big early snow came beafore people had a chance to rake them up, so under all the snow is a layer of rotting leaves.... could be messy.
Fire... rain... earthquakes... blame Mr Trump.

My weather is like Shammickite's. Snow over dead leaves. Didn't have a chance to pick them up this year. Ah well.

Your pics are pretty. Love the first one in particular.
