ANOTHER BUSY WEEKEND

My Hubby and I were so happy to serve at a wonderful local event this weekend.

It was called "A Day With a Deputy".

All local First Responders and law Enforcement were honored.

There were amazing hands on demos and a chance to talk to those that put

Themselves in Harms Way every day.

We offered to the First Responders a free lunch as our thank you.

Nothing like fresh salad, baked beans and yummy Tri Tip, piping hot!

Attendees could buy their lunch for $5.00 (a great deal).  That money went to the

Placer County Law Enforcement Assoc. for their programs.

The Jaws of Life demo was very impressive.

A very valuable service.

The Sheriff's K9 Team is so amazing.

I would never want to be on the receiving end of these highly trained dogs.

Beautiful horses involved in the Mounted Patrol.

The Sheriff's  Chopper demo is always a favorite.

The ending demo of the day was so exciting.

The Sheriff repelled down in his harness to the ground.

This was to be a demonstration of rescuing someone in a medical emergency.

The Sheriff's girlfriend was to be the "victim".

The Sheriff got out of his harness, got down on one knee...

Pretended to fiddle for something in his medical bag and

Proposed to his girlfriend...

The whole crowd erupted in applause and bells and whistles.

She said YES!!

So Cool.

The local news posted it on FB.

If I can figure out how to post it here I will show the cute picture...

Which I missed recording.

I was serving food at the time.

It was an awesome day.

What a wonderful day all around!!! These guys are such heroes, I have boundless admiration for them. When everyone is running away, they run toward. Plus a surprise proposal, too cool!!
