ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " C "

Here's a new post for ABC Wednesday.

Today's  CAPTURE  is the letter  " C ".

We have a  COLLECTION  of several antique  CLOCKS  in our home.

My folks gave us this family  CLOCK  for an anniversary on year.

There are stains and the face is a bit  COCK-EYED  but I think it is pretty.

I'm not sure of it's age.

It was in my parents home when I was growing up.

This  CLOCK  was in my Husbands' parents home.

He believes it is around 100 years old.

I don't remember ever hearing it  CHIME  .

Another  CLOCK  that has some age to it is this Tiffany modern style.

As Time marches on I feel like maybe I am an antique too.

Of  COURSE,  as I always say...enlarge the photos to see the detail....

You aren't an antique at all! You are a beautiful soul who sees details that others miss. I love your clocks. I love your heart.

So how many clocks do you have? A friend of mine has dozens, her husband was a clock repairman. One favorite is a tramp who whistles on the hour.

I've collected many things, but never clocks. Probably good I don't since they require space. Like Ginny, I'm wondering how many you have?

They are indeed lovely to look at; as if they have personalities.

3 beautiful clocks, I have not seen any like these, but it flipped me to memories of my aunt Helens clock on her mantel, it was really old and chimed. it was my great grandmothers clock, I think my cousin still has it. I spent as much time in my aunts house as I did our house. fond memories. I saw your comment about having the embroidery cases and other memories. seeing that one pillow case flooded me with memories.

Great variety of clocks.

They're all beautiful. My parents had a mantle clock given to them as a wedding gift and my sister has it now. It still chimes!

Beautiful clocks. I have no lovely antiques like this, but still, all clocks remind us of the passage of time!

I hope you keep them all wound up and ticking. Clocks like to be working. Letting them sit idle isn't good for them. I have a number of old clocks here and I keep them would up all the time. I make sure they are all saying the right time, but within a couple of days they are all striking at different times.... I love them all! But they drive my family mad!!!!!
