I should have posted this yesterday but the day got away from me.

56 years ago...January 20, 1961

My high school band that I was in,

Played and marched down Pennsylvania Ave

For President John F. Kennedy's Inauguration Parade.

Our band in front of the Capitol.

I'm about 3 up on the right hand side.

Photo taken off the television.

It was so late in the day when we finally got to step off onto Pennsylvania Ave.

Temperatures were right at freezing and they had us practically running to speed up the parade.

Frozen lips and frozen instruments but great memories.

that is a great memory, to bad there were no digital cameras back then, you could be posting dozens of photos taken with cell phone or camera.

There is a "Letter Writing Challenge" starting from January 30th. It would be amazing if you could participate in it.
Here is the link for it http://mrsdashsayss.blogspot.in/2017/01/12-weeks-of-letter-writing-challenge.html
