ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " R "

It seems we are REALLY arriving at the last segment of the alphabet.

Todays letter is " R "

It's all about REMEMBERING.

Today I am REMEMBERING my trip with my blogging friend, Beverly,

and the ROOSTER statue we saw in front of a RESTAURANT in Nashville TN.

We went to the Country Music Hall of Fame and saw the many gold RECORDS

by famous RECORDING artists.

The year was 2011.

One of my favorite sculptures was this one of ROY Acuff and Minnie Pearl,

at the Hall of Fame.

" Oh, ROY "

And as an added bonus

Please REMEMBER to RECYCLE !

My favorite is the big red rooster! He would be perfect for our front yard.

Here, recycle is a must! Also, because we decided to take care of our garbage - in this area more people do that, because of all the forest stuff. Thank you for coming by!

Beautiful "R"'s! Thanks for your comment. I don't like rafting either.

You should have added R for Remnembrance Day, Nov 11. We observe 2 minutes of silence on Nov 11, at 11am, the time of the WW1 Armistice. It is the day we remember the sacrifices made by our armed forces during 2 world wars. In Canada we wear red poppies to signify the battles won and lost in Flanders, Belgium, where the poppies grow in the fields. Look up the poem by John McRae, "In Flanders Fields". It is a very important R at this time of year. Never forget.

A very colourful recycling. For some reason the red rooster reminded me of the crazy costumes some sports team mascots wear.
