THE REST OF THE STORY

I thought I would share with you the rest of the story.

My Daughter in Law's Dad passed away last month and we were able to have his Celebration of Life yesterday.

His Going Home is such an amazing story.

Thoralf was 94 and out on a walk with his son.

As they were walking along his son said, "Dad pick up your feet.  You're shuffling."

Thoralf said " No I'm not.".

His son said "yes you are"

Then Thoralf said, " I can't pick up my feet."

He slumped and was gone.

The amazing part comes after he was taken away.

His son looked down at the ground at the exact spot where Thoralf slumped

and saw a yellow painted line with the letter F.

The Police Officer that was there told Bernie that races were held there and that was the

Finish Line!

Thoralf had run the Good Race for 94 years and had finished well.

One step on earth and the next step in Heaven.

" I have fought the good fight.

I have finished the race.

I have kept the faith.

Now there is a crown waiting for me.  It is given to those who are right with God.

The Lord who judges fairly,

will give it to me on the day He returns.

He will not give it only to me.

He will also give it to all those who are longing for Him to return."

2 Timothy 4 : 7-8

What a great story. Sounds like he was good to the finish. That is the way I'd like it to be for myself. Thanks for sharing that.

This is such an amazing story! I love that he lived to be 94 years old and went to Heaven in such a peaceful manner. Absolutely beautiful.

What a way to go.... no fuss, just reach the finish line and that's it.... no more worries! I'd like to go that way myself. And what an interesting name, Thoralf, I have not heard that name before, was he Sandinavian?
My sympathies to the family.
