After the hustle and bustle of Christmas
It's time to enjoy some of my favorite things.
This is the nativity set I brought back from Kenya.
I love the handmade figures and the animals included in it.

These are precious pinecone Christmas trees.
My Mother in Law made them at least 60 years ago.
They are a very special Christmas memory to me.
The gifts are all put away and the wrappings are packed away but the memories linger.
I love the lights and all the special ornaments that tell little vignettes of our lives.
Wishing you the warmth and blessings of Christmas all through the coming year.

Oh how lovely Sue. A missionary friend of mine gave me a tiny nativity from Africa. I love the straw people and animals. It's lost somewhere in the storage..hopefully next year I can display all my nativities.
The pinecone tree ~ 60 years...how very special.
The pine cone tree is amazing! And I love the unique nativity! The people especially. I think this is more realistic than many of the popular ones.

your tree is so very beautiful.. that is the type tree my mother always had, the smell was so good to. the pine cones are wonderful and that is an amazing nativity. I studied each piece of it and it took a lot of talent to create it. i missed your arm until i went back to find it from your comment.. Happy New year and i cans see you did have a Merry Christmas.
Christmas traditions are a great thing. Those pine cone trees are just wonderful! I've never seen anything like that before, so very pretty!!
All the photos are lovely, but those pine cone Christmas trees are amazing. I can understand why you treasure them.
