LIFE - DON'T TAKE IT FOR " GRANITE "

I am posting a few more photos of Life at Lake Tahoe.

We love this place so much...

Even when the Lake is low and the Granite boulders are really exposed,

Here is a shot of my sweet Hubby by the huge hunk of Granite.

You can see the water marks from previous years.

That's a lot of water completely gone.

Pretty rocky terrain but my gimpy knee did really well.

I was so happy to be able to hike around and see the beautiful scenery.

Isn't that an amazing jumble of rocks?

Most of these boulders are suppose to be covered by the Lake water.

Of course, as always, please enlarge the photos to see them at their best.

Oh my Sue... I can't believe how low the lake is...so sad. Heard there was going to be snow in the mountains...is that true of Tahoe?

These rocks look like someone placed them there! I also like the water lines, nature's art.

that is one huge chunk of granite. and now I am thinking when the lake is where it belongs, those rocks would be dangerous for waders, swimmers and boaters when they are hidden under water. so happy for you your knee did its job and let you wander...we got badly needed rain over night, just an inch but welcome

Life is short, enjoy your hummingbirds while you may... glad you and your hubby got a smile and you have a man that can understand my ramblings.

Your pictures of the lake are amazing, I knew California was having it's 3rd year of drought, but I had no idea how severe it is, and the lake looks so dry. Great pictures of the granite rocks, but I'd prefer to see them covered with clear sparkling water, if you know what I mean!

Enjoyed the pics Sue. I have heard that the lake is low because of the drought that you all are having in California.
