ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " T "

Even THOUGH  TODAY  is TUESDAY, THIS is ABC Wednesday.

THE letter is " T ".

THREE months ago Hubby and I went THROUGH  THE newly opened TUNNEL.

THIS  TUNNEL had been in THE "planning" stages for over TEN years!

Sometimes politics moves rather slowly.

At last THERE is a safer way TO by-pass Devil's Slide

on THE way TO Half Moon Bay, California.

THE road can be TREACHEROUS, especially when driving in THE fog.

Highway 1 is carved out of rock and TRAILS along the edge of the Pacific Ocean.

Landslides and earthquakes can make any TRIP a challenge.

Hence THE desire for a TUNNEL.

Here is THE view THAT awaits us when we have gone THROUGH  THE  TUNNEL.

Isn't it gorgeous?

I miss THE ever changing ocean, but in TWO hours we can TRAVEL back here

and TASTE  THE salt air again.

THANKS for stopping and leaving a comment.

Now go TO my sidebar link and see what others have posted for THE letter " T ".

What a beautiful state you live in. WOW! Breathtaking views at every turn. This is lovely, Miss Suzan. I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day with your friends and family!

I would throw up for sure if I had to go the mountain way! The tunnel is so futuristic looking, and I love your first picture of it looming ahead.

The tunnel looks very beautiful, but also very long! A great way to cross the mountains.
Have a great week.

I want to taste the salt air too! I've heard about Half Moon Bay but haven't been there yet - I need to do a Pacific Coast highway tour!

I think its so exciting that you and Dave like to take day trips and see all kinds of different things.

However, you know my dearest is a "home body" except Tahoe. HaHa.

Love your pictures, and would love to drive it in a convertible sporting my new flag tats on my arms...HaHaHa. That was so funny.

I would not want to drive that road even to see that gorgeous view, but i also would not drive the tunnel that all those landslides could bury the tunnel.. guess that view would have to not be viewed by me, because i don't fly in planes or helicopters, wonder how many miles AROUND all that would be. LOL

forgot to say, the tunnel is really beautiful

I would love to drive that twisty turny road by the sea. Or better still, have someone else do the driving so that I could gaze out of the window at that fabulous scenery.

When I've moved closer up to Central CA, maybe we can drive up to that tunnel someday:)

The tunnel and entrance looks as though it should lead to some top secret futuristic lair. Nice that this shortens the trip, your coastal photographs look very inviting.

Lovely pics again, long tunnel though as I'm a bit claustaphobic.
I travelled through the Euro Tunnel which takes 35 mins and started to feel panicky. well worth the view on the other side though,
thanks for sharing,
Best wishes ,
