SPRING IS COMING

A few days of warm Spring like weather has made our Almond
tree begin to bloom.
The weather guys say that we will have rain by Tuesday and the
temps will drop back down to the low 50F.
this is not good news for my Almond blossoms.
Will keep you posted.

I had no idea almond trees were so gorgeous. i do hope the cold doesn't ruin this one. we are having our coldest day of the year tomorrow, 38 at wake up which is record breaking for Florida... and everything things it is spring because of our heat into the 80's the past few weeks.

Oh, this is too bad! I would love to see close-ups of the almonds and the buds and flowers. Do you eat fresh almonds from the tree? Stupid me, I didn't even know they grew on trees! I would love a whole post on it with lots of pictures.

How wonderful, such beauty!

In Sicily, Italy, almonds also bloom in February.

We have been having wildly flucuating temps, too. Hope those buds and blossoms of yours make it through.

When we lived in Hughson, I loved seeing all the almond orchards in bloom...it was California's snow!!!
