SUNNY CALIFORNIA

I'm posting the further adventures in SOGGY California.
The rain has decided to come down with a vengence.
No lawn guy is coming to pick up the drain clogging leaves.

So my dear Hubby has slogged around in the rain and puddles to
get our pump going.
Some of the pools of water look rather pretty but not good for the
over saturated ground.

Pretty Crepe Murtle leaves afloat.

This is not a black and white photo.
While I was standing in our front entryway we experienced a huge
downpour and the sky got very dark.

You can see the water bouncing off the street if you will ENLARGE
the pictures.

The low spot in our sideyard has turned into a small swimming
pool.
I took this and the next one through our window.

I do "know enough to come in out of the rain."
Sump pump, please do your job!

I think I will have a nice cup of tea now and enjoy the warmth
and dryness of my cozy home.

Oh that's unpleasant for sure. Though I have to say.. those leaves in the water sure are pretty. I hope you dry up soon, Sue. Well, not YOU but your area. :)

Goodness, I am getting quite a chill just looking at all of this and now I am hunting for my heating pad! I hope it stayed dry inside!!!

Not sunny and perfect California! Say it isn't so. :)

You've captured it well enough to make me not want to see that much rain anytime soon.

You sure made use of this rainy day for capturing dramatic images. We are at the end of one of our dryer seasons and I have been enjoying our clear, ssunny, blue-sky days.

Glad you can enjoy your cozy home and a warming cuppa tea!
