ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " O "

Today we have arrived at the letter " O " in series 10 of ABC Wednesday.

My first photo is called OLFACTORY Sensations.
It OCCURRED to me that the ODOR is not OFFENSIVE in anyway.

My neighbor grows the most beautiful roses.

This photo is so confusing to me.
It seems that traffic has an OBLIGATION to follow the crazy clutter
of lines while crossing this Las Vegas street.
I think a few of the lines need to be OBLITERATED.

I wonder what the OCCASION  OR   OBJECTIVE was in cutting all the trees
in this part of the ORCHARD?

Lastly, I OFFER you a piece of ORIGINAL artwork I OBSERVED a few months ago.
Some would call this OP Art.
I think it's a piece of art which can be hung like an ORNAMENT ON the wall to enjoy.
I OFFER you the ABC Link ON my sidebar.  Be sure to take the
OPPORTUNITY to go OVER and see what OTHERS have posted
for the letter " O ."
ONWARD!

Don't forget to enlarge the photos.
You can almost smell the rose.

"O" very good subjects for the Letter O.

I know that Walnut Trees are grafted onto a stump...don't know if these are walnut, and if any other variety is grafted this way.

LOL! I'm not sure I could follow the lines in that traffic shot! Looks like a big accident-waiting-to-happen to me. Love the rose!

Love the colour of that rose and I am sure the perfume is outstanding - shame about the trees - I hate to see trees cut down - Have a good week - Jane UK

The piece of art is really very beautiful and would be a great ornament on the wall provided that the furniture had the right colours.
The flower is heavenly. It looks a bit like my peonies.
Have great week!

Hello Photowannabe!

It seems to me that you are more than a wannabe. What interesting photos! You are right that I could almost smell the roses. Capturing all the lines in the second picture required an observant eye that also appreciates a touch of humour. I too wondered about the chopped-down trees, and your OP Art really grew on me the more I looked at it. There are some wonderful subtleties in the way only four shades (I think that is correct) are used. Thanks for the fine post, and also for your encouraging comment on my first ABC post.

wow, all those o -words! I very much dislike those intersections with diagonal cross over walks. You are right -confusing, to say the least!!

Lines on the street, curves in the petals, swirls of the art and the rounded stumps that once were trees are shapes that open the imagination to all the fantastic patterns in our world.

That's a pretty coloured flower Sue. Is it a rose? the leaves behind don't look like rose leaves.
That road intersection sure looks confusing - Dave

Oooh. Have to go through Las Vegas in a couple of months. Hope it's not all as confusing as this photo.
My olfactory senses oblige me to put beautiful flowers on the patio, but near the window where I can see them but not smell them. Thanks for your faithful visits to my blog
