ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " H "

We HAVE arrived at the letter " H " in our travel through the alphabet.
All of my photos are about HANDS.
I HARDLY know where to begin.
HAPPILY this HAND isn't HUMAN.
It certainly HAS seen better days.
I don't see any HANGNAILS but she needs some new HEAVY DUTY nail polish.

On our HOLIDAY trip to San Francisco with my HEART "Sister"
and blogging friend Bev, we saw this HUMOROUS sign.
It was HANGING on the fence in front of the Golden Gate Bridge.
We HAPPENED to watch joggers run to the HANDS and touch them.
Then they HURRIED and turned around to complete their run.
I HAVE a HUNCH the sign was HUNG by someone named HOPPER.
Thanks to HILARY of Smitten Image, I Googled this sign.
Its a fascinating story about a very HUMANITARIAN effort.
Please check out http://www.hoppershands.blogspot.com/
You won't be sorry.

HANDS clasped in HARMONY could be the name of this statue.

Another statue HAD an HAUNTINGLY beautiful HAND
HOLDING a single blossom.
HOP on over to the ABC link on my sidebar.
There you will find HIGHLIGHTS from HIS or HER post for the letter " H ".

Hands make a good subject for photos Sue. Your selection is interesting. You reminded me that I want to do similar shots with real hands - Dave

Good to see you, Sue. I've been thinking about hands a lot, the Rodin sculptures of piano-playing hands, so lovely, as are yours. Hands are just amazing inventions. :)

Gotta hand it to you, Sue... your ideas are always unique. That first hand looks like it was in a HORRIFIC accident!

You got me curious about the Hopper's Hands and this is what I found.

Beautiful, and hands of those who sever. I have somewhere a picture of my Aunt Cassie's hands before she passed at 98. Hands that had served.

Your hands tell so many stories, as hands do.

Hands is a good subject for H, and all your other words are also very appropriate.
Thanks for your visit. Yes, Corrie ten Boom lived in Haarlem. I was also impressed by the movie about her live and by what her family did during the war.
