TANGLED ROOTS

View of my Bamboo roots in the glass vase.
I like the abstract feel of this shot.
Enlarging the picture will allow you to see the details more clearly.

I would never have known what this is, but it makes an awesome abstract picture. It really does look like a work of art. It is up for interpretation, too! In some strange way, it reminds me of the tangled interweavings of blood vessels in the human body. You may laugh, but there is a parallel between that and the life giving roots of the plant, isn't there? Those supply water to the plant, our veins supply blood.

Great photo. I think it deserves my highest award; Ten points and a big gold star.

That really does look like an abstract. I like the colors and the shades from dark to light. You have a good eye to spot this.

A good abstract shot Sue. Enlarge and hang on a wall and it might win a prize! - Dave

I didn't know that bamboo would grow roots in water. I learn something new every day! Great shot.

Should be blown up and on a wall. Thanks for sharing

Most of your photos look so much better in the enlarged view, which means you should be framing them!

I'm with Ginny on the blood vessel thing. I have a HUGE reaction to this photo, sort of unsettling. It is not one that I would want blown up and hung over my fireplace, but it is one that I would return to over and over. I guess mesmerizing would be the word.
