ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " N "

Today's letter in our trip around the alphabet is " N ".
I have posted photographs from 4 NATIONS we have visited in the last few years.
The NAKED little guy in the first picture was taken in Haiti.
I know I have posted this one before but we NEED to remember and still help the very NEEDY NATION of Haiti.

My Husband and I lived with these adorable little NICARAGUAN girls when we were in NICARAGUA.
Jory made NUMEROUS NECKLACES and bracelets for us to take home to remember them by.

Uzbekistan made the best bread I think I have ever had. This bread is called NAAN. It is baked fresh every day and served with chai.
The NAAN is a NECESSARY part of the meal.
I really NEED to taste some of it right NOW.
Pure NIRVANA.

The last NATION is the country of Kenya. The village we lived in was called NAMUNCHA.
On a good day one could get to the capital city of NAIROBI by car in about 2 hours.
Considering many of the roads that was wishful thinking.
NATURE is harsh and tough out in the Bush but as you can see it hasn't harmed the outlook of these adorable little guys.
Enlarging the pictures will show more detail.
To see what others have chosen for the letter " N " go to Mrs. NESBITTS link on my sidebar.

Notable take on the theme and wonderful choices, beautiful children and delicious bread!

N is for numismatic!

Sue, The faces of those children are just precious - even the back of the little Haitian boy. Children don't have a choice for their circumstance - aren't you fortunate to have made those connections in such far away places? Great post!

Wow. That first image is AMAZING! Would you mind if I had that printed? I would like to frame it and put it somewhere. So I can always remember!

I am glad that you remind me of these very serious world issues. And I am SO thankful that you and your husband show love to these children in words AND in actions. You inspire me!

With much love, Becky

Wonderful photography, Sue. I love the little Haitian darling and those little girls are beauties. I've tasted Naan and love it, and since Chai is my favourite tea, I think it would be a perfect combo.

That first photo is a classic shot! I love your little naked guy! So sweet!

You're right, we mustn't forget Haiti. Poor people, they were poor enough before the disaster ...

Great photos - intriguing stories. I'm wondering about how you've managed living in such a variety of places... and the length of stay in each. Guess I'm going to have to do some investigating of my own! :-)

This is really beautiful series of photos. The first photo made me smile. I wished to take this naked little boy into my arms. Two cute little girls make fantastic photo; they are adorable. The bread looks so delicious and the last photo taken in the village with those three adorable little guys is just fantastic.
