DESERT THERAPY

Hubby and I went away for a few days to relax and get my strength back after being sick with the flu for so long.
The desert was perfect this time of year. Not too hot and not too cold. I enjoyed taking a few pictures and just enjoying the company.
Be sure to enlarge the thistle to see the detail.
Again thank you for all the get well wishes. This is a great blog-land family.

I agree, there's nothing like the desert. We're taking off soon for Death Valley and the Mojave National Preserve. Did you have cool nights? Happy you're feeling better!

Thistles abound in the books I read, but I have never seen one. this one is beautiful. I did enlarge and the detail is awesome.

This thistle looks so beautiful. I like its silky and milky white petals as well as its fluffy centre which is twisted a little bit. Your photo is beautiful and the effect is complete when the photo is enlarged.
I am really very glad that you are feeling better. :-)

I did not know you were ill, and I'm sorry to hear it. Glad the desert was a balm.

So glad you and hubby are feeling better! This is a beautiful photo; I was surprised to find out it is a thistle! :)

Thanks for your comment on my husband’s blog; I too am still learning how to use my Lumix and am enjoying the process.

It’s a great little point and shoot camera as I can put it in my purse and take everywhere;
my passion is scrapbooking and the Lumix works well for me; and it’s pink!

Nature's a great artist and you capture her beauty so well! I have never seen a thistle as delicately colored as this one.
