ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " M "

Monkeys were the first things to come to my mind for ABC Wednesday letter " M ".
While on our safari in Kenya we saw bands of baboons across the river from our tent.
This Mother was hurrying along with her baby clinging to her back .

There were many of these curious, pesty monkeys feeling very comfortable around our tents. The safari managers warned us to keep our tent doors and everything zipped tightly or we might have an extra visitor in our bed with us....

M is also for mushrooms. I saw these delightful garden sculpture glass mushrooms at the High Hand Nursery in Loomis, CA.

M is also for Meditation. I also found this magnificient sculpture at the High Hand Nursery. All the art pieces are forged right on the premises.

Be sure to go to Mrs. Nesbitts link on my sidebar to see what others have posted for the letter M.
As always, enlarging the pictures will show more detail.

Love, love, love those mushrooms! I photographed some for Round 6 yesterday (sometimes I stash images for the next round depending if it's convenient).
Also love that Desert Therapy post too!
And, by all means, you should see your friend at Ghost Ranch! It is AMAZING there.

I'll bet you didn't miss having an extra monkey or two in your tent! Great "m" menagerie - you can come and have minestrone with me anytime!

Oh my gosh! I hope the monkeys don't learn to unzip the tents...

The mushrooms would be fun to have - they look exquisite...I'm not so fond of monkeys, probably but it's neat to see your great photos. Good M post!

What delightful mushrooms, - and I do love watching nature programs of monkeys, - they are so mischievous. But I don't think I'd like one in my bed....

Thank you for this nice post! The sculpture is a replica of "the Thinker"by Rodin in Paris. The monkeys are always fascinating. You must have seen many interesting animals!

Monkey mothers carry the weight, just like mothers everywhere!

The mushrooms are an absolute delight.

Monkeys are fascinating creatures to watch, but I hope none of them found their way into your bed:) I would love to visit this nursery--I'm sure I could find something perfect for my garden!

I like monkeys and while baboons can be nasty fighters, I still like them a lot.

I am always fascinated by monkey's eyes and your second photo captures that look so well.
Those are the sort of mushrooms I would like in the garden.

How wonderful to be able to capture those baboons in the wild - but I'd have been nervous camping near them! I've seen what they can do to cars at safari parks, stripping off windscreen wipers and rubber seals. LOL! Mischievous? Oh, yeah!

The mushrooms are great too - I wouldn't mind some of those in the garden.

It is so nice to see these baboons and monkeys in the wild. The mushrooms are so colorful, so they must be poisonous. That is we were told in school.
