ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " I "

I know this is an incredibly early ABC Wednesday. My schedule says do it now or not at all.
The letter for this post is " I ". " I " is for Icons. Pictured are the three eras of military air power, a prop-driven P-51 Mustang from World War II, an F-86 Sabre from the Korean War and a modern F-22 Raptor. These are all Icons of military transportation.
You must enlarge this shot. Its the best way to see the detail of the Icons.

How cool to capture the three icons in one photo. ;-)

Oh my, YES! You do have to enlarge the photo to see it clearly. A very interesting post - to me - as I'm so interested in war history and my Dad was a pilot in WW2.

I know that feeling; incredibly early or not at all.
Iconic, but sad in a way too.

I love historic group photos like this, whether it's planes or presidents! Well done!

We have different iconic aircraft here, of course. We regularly see Spitfires, Hurricanes, and a Lancaster bomber, and this last weekend we saw a Dakota fly past! Great fun!

Holy Cows! How the heck did you get all three icons in one place? And then in focus, to boot! Good job!

See there. When I think of icons I think of my toolbar! Thanks for reminding me to get my nose off the computer screen!

Very cool shot getting all three together...

When I was in the Army they had us learn how to recognize all the various jets and other aircraft... The emphasis was on learning which aircraft was friendly so we wouldn't shoot our own guys down... Thanks for the memories...
