That photo has a nice cozy feel to it...

This boat looks pretty narrow, but ever hear the one about the guy who builds a boat in his garage, but can't get it out through the door?

I'm ready NOW! For summer, that is.
Sunny here today, but COLD.

I popped my head into the garage last night and stared at my very silent bicycle with similarly forlorn feelings. Soon, I told myself. Soon I'll be able to feel the wind rush past my ears as I throw off the shackles of a bitterly cold winter and hit the road.

A gorgeous watercraft like this would do just fine, too. I've always longed to spend more time on the water. It enriches the soul.

A reminder of long ago and a boat builder who was also a farmer. His name was Webster Eichelbarber and he farmed 80 acres in the summer and built boats in the winter. Not small boats but models first and then the real thing. There was not water close so these boats had to be hauled to the Great Lakes from Darke County Ohio. A considerable distance in those days and a long one today. I got one of the models because I admired it when I was a boy and it was in his barn where he built boats. A peek in the barn door revealed my model. Like a peek in your's shows a boat ready for summer. Nice shot.

Lovely wooden boat and beautiful photo!
I am taking this opportunity to say that I am very much thankful to you for your nice comments on my blog. It is great to know that someone over the ocean think of you and is happy for you for something. That is a special feeling that words cannot describe. That is how I was feeling when I was reading your friendly words on my blog. Thank you for that very much.:-)

Brilliant photo, Sue!

Today, we've already had ice rain, rain, snow, everything but the sun.
Ah, dreams of summer, thank you!
