I'm having so much fun looking at the world through the lens of my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3.
I will share my world of Rocklin, California and points North, South, East and West.
Come and enjoy with me.
as much as we love winter.....we are ready!! :)
Is that real, or is it a photo of a painting.
c'est une superbe photo, avec cette lumiere. it is a beautiful picture, with this light.
That photo has a nice cozy feel to it...This boat looks pretty narrow, but ever hear the one about the guy who builds a boat in his garage, but can't get it out through the door?
Summer will come! Just be patient a little longer Sue... :) - Dave
Ohh, a wooden boat is a thing of beauty.
Lots of questions already from blogger re. this boat. Is it yours??
What a great shot.. I can't wait for April!
I'm ready NOW! For summer, that is.Sunny here today, but COLD.
I popped my head into the garage last night and stared at my very silent bicycle with similarly forlorn feelings. Soon, I told myself. Soon I'll be able to feel the wind rush past my ears as I throw off the shackles of a bitterly cold winter and hit the road.A gorgeous watercraft like this would do just fine, too. I've always longed to spend more time on the water. It enriches the soul.
A reminder of long ago and a boat builder who was also a farmer. His name was Webster Eichelbarber and he farmed 80 acres in the summer and built boats in the winter. Not small boats but models first and then the real thing. There was not water close so these boats had to be hauled to the Great Lakes from Darke County Ohio. A considerable distance in those days and a long one today. I got one of the models because I admired it when I was a boy and it was in his barn where he built boats. A peek in the barn door revealed my model. Like a peek in your's shows a boat ready for summer. Nice shot.
wow..this photo is wonderful. really like a painting!
Summer still seems a long way away...love this!
Yes, I'm longing for long summer days.... We have sunshine, then rain, then hail and thunder...and today..back to sunshine.
