LIFE IN THE CRACK
A very tiny mushroom was growing in our pebble walkway. The fungus was only one inch tall and had such fascinating detail and colors.
Last winter another one was growing in just about the same place but was larger and had different features. I don't know why the single mushroom finds this a place to call home but it gave me another photo opportunity.
Please enlarge to see the intricate design.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Exquisite tiny fungus. Never have I seen anything like it. Cleverly named post as well! Thank you for your kind post to my blog! Truly.

A strange looking mushroom. My husband found a group of meadow mushrooms in the back yard this week. They tasted wonderful.
Wow! How delicate. We had a giant puffballl in our garden last year. I did some research and discovered they were edible. Totally gorgeous but hubby would not try it. Very suspicious. Well I am still here! LOL!
This is a really fine photo. The detail is outstanding and the focus is really excellent.
Brilliant detail! I've never seen a mushroom like that before.
I had to show this one to E! It's just wonderful with the bright red gills and strangely mottled cap.
Don't be surprised if you see a fairy perched on top next time you pass by:)
Great beauty growing out of this tiny crack, and you captured it in such a loving tender way!
Oh, it is so lovely! Beautiful close-up of beautiful mushroom with so lovely edge decoration! Great photo, indeed!
That's a very beautiful fungus. I've never seen such a mushroom!

One could spend a lifetime photographing the beauty found in the variety of wild fungus. Thanks for sharing

belle photo, la nature reprend ces droits. On dirait qu'il est un peu rouillé ;o)
beautiful photo, nature takes these rights. It seems that it is a little rusty ;o)
How sweet and delicate but I bet it would kick a punch if you ate it though!!!!
Just a lovely reminder that beauty grows in unexpected places. Wonderful shot.
never saw a mushroom like this before, thanks for sharing
That's very cute and very unusual!
How strange and exotic looking. There seems to be a lesson in there somewhere. Look through a crack and you'll never know what you'll find or life blooms in unusual places.
What a sweet little sign of life. very good shot.
Mother Nature will take every opportunity to further her career... good luck to the tiny mushroom, he's lovely!
