LIFE BACK TO "NORMAL"

Well, the kids are back home again safe and sound. We had a good time visiting and just being family together. One Christmas down, one to go.
Nothing has been recovered by the police but I really don't expect that to ever happen. Life goes on and its all just things.....
I was so amazed by your comments. I never realized so many had had things stolen from their homes. Its not a proud statement of society, and very sad too.
Thank you for all your well wishes. they were most appreciated.
Have a wonderful weekend everybody.

It's hard to believe that a few trivial Christmas decorations can look so nice in a photograph, how do you do it?
Happy holidays to you all.

Bright and Merry! It's lovely that Christmas comes to bring light and color into the darkest, most drab time of the year.
I was sorry to read of your burglery. We've never had that kind of a theft although I did discover that some old, rather valuable rings had been stolen from my dresser drawer. I was pretty sure I knew who'd taken them, but could never have proved it.....

I'm glad your kids got there safe and sound. I-5 was certainly not good traveling for a few days there.

I'm so sorry for your theft. I have also been there. It certainly does make you feel violated.

Glad you are all together again Sue. I was surprised how many of our bloggers had been burgled too. A sad comment on our society. - Dave

I missed your earlier post, but am relieved to know that life has gone back to normal for you.

Years ago, my family, too, was the victim of a break-in. It happened the night of my brother's wedding; my parents had returned to their New Jersey home laden with presents that guests had brought to the reception. Someone saw them carrying the piles of giftwrapped boxes inside, waited a few hours and then shattered a window and the front door to try to grab the loot.

I, who had crashed on my parent's couch after the wedding, was awakened by the sound of breaking glass and my cries scared the burglars off. They hadn't managed to steal anything, but the window, door and doorframe were destroyed, as was my parent's peace of mind. They'd lived in that house for decades, and raised their children there, but they never slept under its roof again. They never again felt safe there.

So glad you've managed to put this behind you quickly. Have a great weekend and a wonderful holiday.

Sorry for going back in time...I was so disconnected when I was on vacation that I realize I've missed a lot of my favorite reads.

I love this picture: in one shot, you've captured the rich color of the holidays. Lovely.
