I'm having so much fun looking at the world through the lens of my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3.
I will share my world of Rocklin, California and points North, South, East and West.
Come and enjoy with me.

IT'S ALL DONE
The presents are opened. The wrapping paper gone. The treasures put away. The family and friends have returned to their homes. Christmas has come and gone but the wonderful memories will be in my heart forever. We are looking ahead to a wonderful 2009.

Frankly, I am always glad any holiday is over with. Mother used to say I was wishing my life away but I didn't wish for the holidays and could get along without them. Even my upcoming 75th birthday in October.
Not sure if you like humor in writing but there are other stories on this newer blog of mine. The Frog and toad is on Abe's Town.
This is the time we give up something that was an important part of our lives for something new and entirely unknown -- 2009.
Happy New Year to you and to your family from Patty and Abe.
My rooms look a little bit more lived-in, still, but slowly I am digging out of all that holidaying (and cooking! gosh, seven straight days in a row, the 26th was still a holiday here!). There were many beautiful hours spent with family, so I won't complain. ;-)
I hope to go towards Salzburg, specifically to visit the tinly hamlet where the song "Silent Night" was written and composed and performed, exactly 190 years ago. The weather forecast is good so far, finally some blue skies. I can't wait to see snow-capped mountains!
Yes, I usually take down everything the day after Christmas....but this year, being retired....it will stay up until I feel like taking it down... I am enjoying it...It will be down by Easter... I promise ((smile))
You have a lovely tree! I like to leave the tree up until after New Year's Day just for the color and light it brings during this darkest time of year.. A very Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year to you and yours, Photo!
