ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " V "

Today's letter is " V ".
" V " is for vulnerable and feeling violated.
Yesterday we discovered that some things were stolen from our garage sometime during the night.
For some reason our garage door didn't get closed and it remained open all night. I didn't discover it until I went out to pick up our newspaper. There were things taken which we had planned to sell on Ebay and had some personal attachment to them. Even though it was our fault for leaving the door open to have someone take our personal property makes us feel very violated and vulnerble. We called the police and filed a report. We hope no one else in our neighborhood will experience this problem.
For others participating in ABC Wednesday go to Mrs. Nesbitt's link on my sidebar.
I will be back to blogging on Thursday when our kids return to Oregon.

This is disgusting. I really despise the lowlife that do this sort of thing and I applaud you for blogging about such a personal incident. Such a sad sigh of our times. V is for vile creatures that do this.

Quand quelqu'un s'introduit chez soit, et vole quelque chose, en effet on se sent violé. J'espere que tu vas bien. Je pars pour NYC, alors je te souhaite de bonnes fêtes de fin d'année.
When someone enters either in and steal something, in fact you feel violated. I hope you are okay. I go to NYC, then I wish you good holiday season.

Wow.. I'm sad about this. Our home was burglarized years ago around the holidays.. I remember those feelings that you describe.. violated is what I remember.. and a bit scared as well.

Hoping that the holidays will be great even still!

Susie,

I'm so sorry, I know how awful you must feel. It's not so much the loss of the items as it is the idea that scummy people were so close.

But take heart, you are rich beyond words with all your friends and family,

We miss you all, especially this time of year.

Burglary is awful! We had it once when we were away for a weekend. It was not only terrible for us but also for the neighbours who looked after the house.

Our home was broken into once, and everything wss gone thorugh in our bedroom. I remember my husband saying that very thing. He said he felt like what he imagined a woman must feel like who had been violated.

I'm sorry that you had such a sad occasion for the letter v.

oh how horrible, I can understand just how you feel. I try to make sure that everything is locked up tight every night... in fact I'm going out to the garage right now to make sure!!

I understand those feelings. We had a car stolen from our front drive once, just feet from our sons' bedroom. Very scary to think that strangers with ill intent were that close.

I hope you can put this behind you.

HOw terrible. I never will understand people sometimes.

I just found out that photos I had of kids on my site were stolen and turned into something perverse on this other site.

I found referrals to my site from a url that contained some rather suspicious text so I reported it to my local authorities who turned it over to the feds. I did not click on the site for fear of what I might find. But it seems my suspicions were warranted. This site steals innocent photos of kids and perverts them. In my case they linked back to the original photo on my site.

I have decided to pull all photos of kids from my site and never post another one again. I am sick to my stomach that there are creatures out there that do such things. I knew they existed but I never really thought it would happen to me.

Isn't it just a sickening feeling, knowing that someone has your stuff and has been inside your place without permission? Someone stole a boat motor from me several years ago, and it just made me ill feeling!

Sorry to hear about the violation of your things. I know how badly that feels - and I hope the thieves don't return.
