I LEFT MY HEART

A week or so ago Hubby and I and some friends visited our old stomping grounds.
There is nothing like San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge on a warm sunny day.
Is it any wonder that songs are written about this very magical place?
Be sure to enlarge this shot to see the details more clearly.

I think even small kids here knows, what bridge this is.
And it is surely worth all those photos, which have been taken about it including your excellent photo!

Have a happy weekend, Sue!

(I am now two weeks without grandchildren and after that their autumn holidays start and they will be here :)

Spectacular view of really beautiful bridge I’ve never seen in private but only on the TV or photos. I also love that blue colour of the water and the sky without any clouds. Great shot, indeed!

It takes your breath away. I hope it's cooling down up there. We have real live fall weather, down in the 30s at night now.

The GGB is so cool and you were lucky to be there on a clear day. It's usually hit and miss.

That has to be one of the most amazing bridges ever built

Wonderful shot! I left my heart there, too. I haven't been to San Francisco in a long, long time, and I probably wouldn't recognize the place.

Great photo. I have stood on that exact spot. Thanks for sharing and bringing back the memory.

Sorry for the sort reply, but We haven't been blogging much lately and commenting even less except in special cases. We should be back to normal in a month or so.

Thanks for the visit,

I lived in San Francisco for 9 years. I actually saw Tony Bennet sing "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" live, in person, on Union Square. It was surreal. He was there mostly to promote some lithographs of his that he was selling in Macy's across the street after the short concert (he is a visual artist as well as a singer it seems).
