IN MEMORY

Today marks the 7th anniversary of 9-11, the fall of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City.
The photos are of the memorial which was on display at the California State Fair. The tribute was done beautifully and a reminder that We Will Never Forget.
This must never happen again.

You are right. Terrorism is always the worst way to pass your believes. I hope this, or any kind of this, never happens again. EVER.

Yes, never forget the victims, and maybe more importantly, never forget the potential of another attack.

There are no words that can describe how I was feeling on today’s day 7 years ago when I heard and saw on the TV about that horrible crime. I am still very sorry for all victims and the members of their families who lost heir dear ones. I too will never forget it just like I will never forget the last war that was in my country. And I am angry to all those who say that we should forget things like that. It’s true that life goes on but some things one really can never forget…

I will never forget.

I always look off to the right when driving the highway just blocks from my house to where I see the empty space in the skyline where the towers once stood. There will always be a hollow in my heart for all those who were lost and for all those who lost loved ones, friends, and colleagues that day.

Sue, thanks for sharing that experience with me. KGMom who is in my sidebar posted a poem that was written in honor of the people who worked at Windows on the World restaurant...very moving.

The people who died 7 years ago in NYC will never be forgotten, by their families, by their friends, by their countries, or by me who didn't know any of them, that is certain, but unfortunately that won't make sure that this sort of terrorist activity will never happen again, because it will. It will just surface in a different place, in a different form. There's just too much hatred in the world.

Seeing memorials are very difficult for me. It puts me back where I was when it happened and the emotions come flooding back. I pray that it will never get easier so that I would never forget.

It is hard to believe it has been 7 years - the horror of it is still so raw. RIP

I didn't go to the State Fair this year, but would have liked to have seen this memorial. Thank you for the post.
