GOLD RUSH COWBOY

This young cowboy was practicing his whip skill on the cobblestone street completely in a world of his own. I could see by his almost dance-like moves that his imagination was putting him in another place.

He seems to be very concentrated on his task!

That's a long whip. He looks like he was totally focused. I could imagine it would be painful to be hit by one of those things.

He really is content isn't he!

This is how we used to play - maybe not with the complete outfit but with our imagination. You captured a very special moment here.

To me, that picture is so AMERICAN!!!
I laughed when I read your Snicker story. When she is at home, Tessa is used to sleeping in a dog crate completely covered with a big blanket, so we have a spare crate and when she comes to stay overnight, she gets popped into it and is quite happy. Plus Youngerson and The Bride had her spayed a couple of months ago. so no worries about being in heat. But today I had 6 month old Callum for the day.... now that's a different kettle of fish!

My wife says that I am always in a world of my own.
I looked at the website for Empire Mines, quite a place.
Did you look at the Mascot Mine pictures on my blog, That mine is 4000 feet up the side of the mountain. Mascot Mine in Hedley BC is about one hour drive from Oliver. Oliver was the site of a goldmine at the turn of the century

This picture sure reminds me of dressing up and playing,"cowboy" as a youngster.

Thanks for the memory.

wonderful capture as well.
The whip is frozen in time.

This brings back a lot of memories. I used to struggle to make a whip that "cracked" but was seldom successful.

Nice capture.

Hee, Haa!
I love how the whip shaped in the image. It's all about timing.
