MY VISITING " GRANDDOGGER "

Hello everyone. We are back from a great time visiting with friends and now we are dog sitting for the day.
The first thing Snicker (as in Snickerdoodle) did was get into our water drip system and gave herself a "bath" . She had a ball before I got her out of the little mud puddle that had formed. Crazy puppy. All I could think was... oh boy, now I'm in trouble.
Cleaned her off as best as I could and now she is sitting on my feet while I'm typing this. This is really like taking care of a toddler. Lots of fun but its been a very long time since I had a toddler!!!
Its going to take me a few days to get around to all of your blogs but I am looking forward to seeing whats been posted while we were gone.

Oh my that is a muddy dog!
I also have a granddog AND a grandcat.
People thought I was crazy when I started to use that term.
Glad to see I'm not the only one using it.

Oh Boy! Snicker is the same "make" as my grandpuppy Tessa.... and I know full well what sort of trouble she can get up to. We had a BBQ here last week... 5 kids and a dog running about the back yard just after a huge rainstorm.... I don't know who was the muddiest, the kids or Tessa!

LOL, cute Snicker! I'm glad you had a good time Sue. Always nice when you can see old friends. I'm glad you are back safe and sound.

Hi, if you go to my post for June 22nd and 24th, I have a picture of my Lab after going in the mud and now our new pup has also found that it likes swimming in mud and needs bathing often.

Some dogs will walk a mile to avoid water and others just can't get enough of it!!!!

What a darling "Snickerdoodle" mud and all.

I could just picture him on your feet while you type. That's love.

yep, that's me too! i sit my grandpups every weekend because my daughter lives in an apartment and since we have a nice big yard, they see it as a form of puppy camp! the cocker spaniel is a little loopy and loves to give himself dirt baths and the springer spaniel is more sedate and sits happily watching the antics of his not so stable brother. and it is like having kids again in the house, and like grandkids, we love them and then they get to go home! yay!
