PUDDLES AFTER THE STORM

One of several shots I took of the standing water in our back yard. I think there is beauty even in puddles.
As always, click on the photo to enlarge.

I'm fine, Sue, thanks for asking. You did have a lot of rain, didn't you.

Once in Haiti we had 17 inches in a 24-hour period. Our missionary center was on a hill, but down below us many animals drowned because they didn't get moved by theri owners in time.

Our cold weather lasted about 24 hours. Now it's near 80 again...a veritable paradise for all the snowbirds. Traffic is terrible.

There is such beauty there.

And it looks like the rain has ended; for now the earth must work to swallow it all.

I like this composition. At first it looks messy and confused, but at the same time there is an order to it. You captured both aspects by your choice of framing.

There are definite positives to looking up AND DOWN! :) Nice shot.

I Love the colors in your puddle!
We got the tail end of your storm..one day of heavy rain and one of light snow..sunny today. I saw only brown puddles here, but maybe I should look more closely at them in the future:)

I hope you are all OK.

I don't know how much rain we got yesterday and last night but Noah would have been jealous.

That is a pretty shot. I wish I had rocks like that in my backyard. I like rocks. (Laughing at what I said... but I really do like rocks.)

I do love water shots. When I enlarged the photo it almost looks like that's gold dust down there. I think water is magic.

Beautiful colors and composition, and when viewed large the textures glisten. I love this one. May you have many more such puddles.
