BEE IN THE TREE

Our Manzanita tree is full of these little bell like blossoms. The Honey Bees have been going mad for the necture as well as the hummingbirds. I am enjoying watching them from our diningroom window.
Be sure to enlarge this photo to see the details.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Cool blossoms. They look like miniature versions of rosebud from little shop of horrors.

It's amazing how diligent nature is at work year round in your parts of the world. One would think even in warmer climates, it takes a rest, but no, a flower show as if spring were in full bloom. Thank you for that glimpse of a warmer season.
I wish you a great weekend too! :-)

Manzanita is native to my area in Northern Arizona. They bloomed much earlier in the year here.
Lovely picture:)

Hello,

this is a lovely photo of the manzanita tree and bees. It looks as if you were still in the middle of summer in California.
Over here in Europe we have November fog and rain.

Such delicate blossoms, and I, too, think they look just a bit like bleeding heart blossoms. Lucky you to have such lovely flowers year round!

I love those bell flowers! Very lovely. And of course the bee is awesome (as my husband keeps bees).

All your recent pics are so vivid. I never tire of the brilliant fall colours.

When I saw those "bells", I thought, they are like a flower of a blueberry, but in a big group.
This group and you have made a beautiful photo.
Thank you for your nice comments on my site.
Have a good Sunday!

You only use a Sony Cybershot to get these great pics? Amazing! I ask because I have one and love it and just ordered a new one. Now I'm looking forward to using it more. Thanks for sharing.

I have heard of manzanita, but have never seen one, even in a picture. Like Mr. Lockhart, this is new to me.

I LOVE the way the blossoms look. That's just plain beautiful. The bee adds a really nice touch too.

I have a piece of manzanita that I sanded smooth in 6th grade camp so many years ago. I guess I never realized that they bloomed so prettily...

This looks like what we call "Bleeding Hearts". Is that what the flowers are called?

This is a great catch! I have not had Manzanita since I lived in Redding. We do have them here, I just don't have one in my yard. As I remember...they shed continuously.

The photo is lovely, as always, and this type of tree is new to me, too.

However ... are you sure the bee wasn't there just to promote that massively-hyped new Jerry Seinfeld film?
