Last year I had some glorious burnt red sunflowers - short and tiny but very "hot" flowers. I meant to collect the seeds but I got to it too late the birds ate them all. This year I have the same in pots just outside the kitchen door. I have my fingers and toes crossed I'll at least get to enjoy the red beauties.

This is such a good photo. Though I must admit that when I first looked at it I thought, "That's just how I feel." Not that bad really.

Amazing detail.

Beautiful closeup and so vibrant.
I grew some, but at their peak, those squirrels plotted and devoured them.

Nice saturation as well.

My word that is a big one. Mine were eaten up before the seed finished turning completely. I guess that is one of the problems with too many birds. LOL.

Nice photography. I really liked your post yesterday too.

I have spent the last couple of days working on a layout for some of my photos. I got it online today. I would like to know if you like the layout or the way I designed it. Also what about the starlings? At the bottom of the starling page is an email link you can use to let me know if you have time. Thanks.

Neat photo! I've been observing a sunflower at my son's neighor's house. It's about done also.

Hey, that sunflower and I share some things in common.

About Huckabee and his chances, I'd be really surprised if he gets very far.
