WEDDING BELLS

Thanks everyone for the wonderful wishes for this weekend. It really has been a nice one. My husband and I went to a lovely reception for a couple who were married 2 weeks ago in Texas. They have returned to California and gave a party for all of us who couldn't attend. I can't believe that I didn't take a single picture while there. My mouth was going none stop visiting with people I haven't seen since we moved and for many, its been years. Sometimes renewing old friendships is enough.

Blogging and photographing is important, but so are old friends. I think that the party sounds wonderful--nothing like seeing old friends and renewing old ties. Your photo is delightful, too.

To answer the question of the type of flower, they are just Roses from the San Francisco Rose Garden.

Thanks John I will check out the site.

lovely shot, sue....

i spent the weekend in a similar fashion, going back to MD for the annual fundraising banquet for the children's home where i used to work. it was so much fun catching up with old friends and the children.

i also didn't take any pictures. i had my camera but just didn't feel compelled to.

it is always re-energizing to me when i spend an evening with good friends and good conversation..... sounds like it is for you, too.

Roses. I was going to guess either a magnolia or a gardenia. Very nice picture.

Oh, absolutely. I'm glad you had a great time. Makes, well, life worth living, don't they? Good friends?

And you're a schmoozer, too? Good one!!!

That's what I like about being the strong, silent type. I can keep my mouth shut and my camera going and no one is offended.

It sounds like a happy reunion you had this past weekend, Sue.

Lovely roses! I also am impressed that the couple had an additional reception to celebrate with their California friends. Best wishes to the newlyweds.

Lovely flower, very appropriate for a wedding. Yes, sometimes forgetting about cameras and photography is a wonderful thing. Glad you had a good time with your friends.

We were in Texas ourselves this weekend -- quite a different story.

I had to explain in my blog why my posts last week were curt and canned.
