HAITI

It was almost a year ago that my husband and I went to Haiti for 2 weeks. I'm thinking about it because a team from our previous church is leaving today to build another church, put on Bible school programs and distribute rice and beans and clothing. The same things we were able to do.
Check my archives for Aug. 6th 2006 and Aug. 13th 2006 to see pictures of these beautiful people and their fascinating country.
As always click on the pictures to enlarge and see the detail.

It's a shame that these people don't have the power to help themselves, through no fault of their own. Glad to see they are getting assistance from others who are more fortunate.

Maybe, your work there will help them improve their living standard.
The canadian Government give quite a bit of aid to Haiti and the Canadian Police, the RCMP, also have a role in peacekeeping there.
The RCMP are the guys with the red coats and big hats, but that is just ceremonial, they wear just a plain uniform on duty.

I'm always amazed when I see something about humanitarian efforts. These people who are living is such awful conditions and are hungry most of the time.. are smiling and laughing. I wonder if I could smile under the same circumstances.

Thanks God that there still have been people with great heart who think about those who need others help. It is wonderful feeling to be able to help to someone and make them happy and to see the smile on their faces.
It’s a beautiful photo that you posted as well as those that I saw from your archive.
