POPPY BUDS
The Icelandic Poppies were just about ready to bloom. I find their fuzzy stems and bud casings fascinating. Click on the picture to enlarge.
Are they drooping because they are not ready to bud yet...or do they need water...or is this just the way they are? I don't remember seeing them like this and it is fascinating.
Wonders of the nature :) and your wonderful photo! Thank you for your visits and comments on my blog , I have difficulties to comment by phone in the summerplace. I can see your photos also there and it`s a nice thing. Tomorrow we will get again visitors, so, my time is very occupied next two weeks, but I do not forgot you! Have a great days in the new homes !

I was going to say this shot reminds me Little Shop of Horrors but Susan beat me to it.
That's great! I've never actually seen a growing poppy (that I remember, anyway).
What kind of weather do they "take."
I'm wondering if they would fry in the Florida sun and heat.
They look like little fuzzy street lamps!

Thought for a second I was seeing War of the Worlds. Really nice picture of a neat plant.
me too and love the way they burst into the beautiful colors....
I think they are either very very tired or they are bowing down before you.
Funny, fuzzy plants make me itch and when I looked at these my hand started itching lol.
