THE LIVING ROOM'S NEW LOOK
Well, today the agent returned and removed all the furniture that was used for staging the house in order to put it up for sale. I'm glad the house is now sold but the buyer can't move in until June 20th. We can't move into the new place unti June 20th also.
So...
Here we sit.
As you can see we have all the comforts of home for the next few weeks.
Don't you like our new couch? Everything echoes. At least I don't have much dusting to do..
To see how the room looked before check the May 1st archive.

une tres belle cheminée et un superbe parquet. la chaise longue est deja prevue ;o)
a very beautiful chimney and a superb parquet floor. the long chair is already envisaged ;O)
I would get everyone I could and set them up near those windows and take portraits!
I'm a fan of those house make-over shows. watching your account of the move is like watching them shows :)
That sure is a long time to wait. Nice living room though!
It's a very nice livingroom with pretty chimney. I wish I have a lovely livingroom like this one *sigh*
Do you take turns sitting in the chair?
I remember the room from its furniture-d post...U must be chomping at the bit now to move into the new place.....It will be worth the wait ...:)
Someone is going to have a lovely living room to move into. You must be counting the days until you can get into your new home.
I hope you will not find the time too long!
Put on your socks and slide. That's what all the kids would do.
Well, you can sit on your husbands lap....how sweet! :)
I love what you've done with the place....!
How cozy....
Thanks for the reference back to May 1. I enjoyed reading your interview answers. Hope things go smoothly between now and then with both moves. (PS - love the hardwood floors.)
I LOVE the look of this -- wood is always the best.
It's a beautiful room. I like the minimalist look you have going in there too. A folding chair and a lamp, all you need is a good book.
bonita chimenea

What beautiful wood!
Glad to hear your house sold. Our place in Virginia sat empty from April - Feb when we came to Delta on such short notice. It was good to get that one sold.
It looks like one of those minimalist decorations... The room is beautiful all the same, but you have to take turns to use the chair... well, "only" 15 days to go now...
You are funny PWB. Thanks, I needed a smile right now. And it won't be for long & at least you aren't surrounded by boxes & crates...or are you?
