BELLY FLOPS

One of the decorations used for our open house was this dish of Belly Flops. This candy is made by the Jelly Belly Company in Fairfield, California. They get their name because when they were produced they were not perfectly formed or the logo was printed incorrectly. Hence they are flops and can't be sold in stores. They taste just as good as the perfect ones but perhaps aren't quite as pretty. These were bought at the factory and are very inexpensive. My favorite flavor is juicy pear, followed by buttered popcorn.
Do you have a favorite flavor? What's your favorite candy?

Oh wow, all I have to do is look at that photo -- and now I'm hooked on jellybeans... --My favorite candy is chocolate, of course, but I just got back on what I call my "pure" diet, so chocolate is currently off-limits... Maybe I should channel my addiction for chocolate into jelly-beans -- a little gelatin and sugar never hurt anybody... --I'll take a bucket...

Have you ever heard from a liquorice ?
When I was a child after the WWII, we had only this kind of candy and it has been my favorite always.
I wish you colorful weekend!

That is a good name for that candy. Jelly beans are not a favorite of mine. I prefer to save my calories for something I really like. Great photo, though.

What a clever name...I think I would buy those over the "perfect" ones just because I feel sorry for them. And I don't even care for jelly beans! Silly, huh?

My favorite is the peach one my neighbor, Estrela gave me this morning, and that you just reminded about. So I'm just about to unwrap & pop in.
Easy does it, though! ......MMMMMMmm, it's good!!! Soft, sweet & chewy, though I think it tastes more like banana LOL!

Great colors, very nice. I just don't want the flavors they talk about in the Harry Potter books!

Great to see and hear from you again.

I'm not a huge fan of jelly beans, except for the black licorice ones. Lemon is ok too though. They do look pretty though in a nice bowl.

I love jelly beans. I'm a bore though, I like the red/cherry ones the best. I have a deal with Lovely Wife, I eat all of the black/licorice ones, well, it's not much of a deal, but I like them and she doesn't.

My wife and I toured the Jelly Belly factor when we were first married because it was free date!!! My wife was a seminary student in Marin County and I was working at a local bookstore, so we were poor then. it is one of our fondest memories. We loved watching them hand make the christmas taffey with the little tree in the middle. My favorite flavor....I love them all!!!!
