ALMONDS RIPENING

Our new home has 8 or 9 different fruit trees on the property. Each one has fruit ripening. I thought you might like to see some of our almond crop that is preparing for summer goodness.
The house inspection went well and we found no serious problems. Closing remains on June 20th.
I am so looking forward to some outdoor living.

Hello
I see you have fruit trees, we also have some fruit trees in our yard/garden.
Apples, peaches, plums and walnuts. We also have two new cherry trees but they will be a few years before they have enough cherries for a pie

I never seen the almond clop before. A fruit trees are so wonderful to have but need some care. I have few and because I do not splay anything so I am pretending it is a 100% organic and natural.

There are a couple of stores near here that sell fresh almonds in the spring, and the price they charge would frighten you. But this is the first time I've seen them on the tree. Beautiful.

Thanks for the photo. I, too, have never seen them growing on a tree.

What are the other fruit trees that you have?

Well, that's an education, I don't think I have ever seen almonds on the branch before. I have a pear tree and an apple tree in my back yard, but both are VERY old, and even though they still give fruit, they are looking a bit worse for wear. The main trunk of the pear tree is completely hollow, but last year we had a bumper crop of pears and this spring there are loads of blossoms, so there's life in the old gal yet!

Hey! I got in before 50 other people commented! I've been keeping up with your blog, just haven't been commenting because of the crowds. I'm glad your renovating is done, life is more back to normal, and you've got time for photography again. Have a good weekend!

It's one of my dreams to have fruit trees around the house. Once I did have that but then I moved to a yard with mostly shade from other kinds of trees. One of these days . . . if I don't run out of time.

Having trees in the yard is great, but fruit trees are an added bonus. The feeling that I get from that picture is that you have landed in a pretty special place, hope you enjoy it.

Your almonds look great. They are a lot like peaches. I don't remember what happened but our almond tree finally died. Hope your tree favors you with long life. A nice photo.

Great news about selling and buying! You'll love the fruit trees. Hope to be checking your site more often now that life is back to normal for me, as well.
