A CHANGE OF PACE

On this rainy day in "Sunny California" I thought I would post a splash of springtime color.
This is called Ice Plant and is very drought resistant. It is used as ground cover to help hold the soil in place.

Back to regular blogging in just a few more days.

Good to see your iceplant !!! Of course I have iceplant too, but I'm always amazed with how many folks have never seen it before...
I used to live in Pacific Grove, which had a long stretch of the minature variety planted along the waterfront... It loves the sun, but during the night the blossoms close down...

Beautiful shot. I saw this plant for the first time on aphotoaday's blog a few days ago. Amazing color.

Lovely flowers, is this a kind of daisy? I wonder if iceplant flowers in Canada? We have plenty of ice to make it feel at home! :-)
