PEDRO POINT FIREHOUSE

This use to be a firehouse out on the point in Pacifica California. Now its used for a community center and hall for many meetings.
Our renovations is moving along but we have hit a slight snag. The sink countertop had a flaw and cracked so we have reordered another one and it will be in sometime next week. At least I have a working stove, but we are washing dishes in the bathroom for the time being. Such are the joys of a redo.
We rented a storage unit and much of our furniture will go in there. We are truly going like worker bees getting things packed so they can go to the unit. The floors are still scheduled for Tuesday. So ...time marches on. It will all be worth it when its done.
Have a great weekend everyone

It's good to recycle old buildings rather than tear them down!

What a charming building. I wonder if it was this same colour when it was a fire hall?
I have done dishes in the bath! Lived off food cooked in a micro wave or BBQ for two weeks while our kitchen was done!

Oh my dear photowannbe, have a restful weekend!
I love all the details that you bring to us in each photograph! I like the hills over there, and the street that we can see far away with the little houses... And nice that now you can use this old house for cultural activities, nice!

What a preety building for it to be a fire house.
I was complaining to a friend that i have lots to do this weekend. I see you what you have to do and how much work is still left and it puts me to shame.
Take a break now and then.

Very annoying and inconvenient when things don't go to plan, and what a pain to be washing dishes in the bathroom, I suggest either paper plates or eating out! Lovely colours in your photo!

The lights & the shadows has been very well portrayed.

Finne framing for this interesting fire house!

It is amazing the complexity of some of these firehouses out west. I know there are some really neat ones in Colorado too!

I feel for you, Photowannabe. My husband sometimes suggests we "redo" our kitchen and I just drag my feet.

Nice shot. Old buildings are always fun to shoot.

You sound as though you have accepted the setback, and that's a sign of contentment. It will make completion all the sweeter! What a pretty building. I envy you living in that part of the country with that backdrop.
