ABANDONED

Across from the Shamrock Ranch and Kennels in town we found a treasure trove of photo opportunities.
The owners had left all sorts of farm tools out in the elements.
Wagons and things that I don't know the names of were just begging me to take some pictures of them.
Over the next few days I'll be sharing them with you.
Want it larger, just click on the image.

It's amazing also what a mega-enlargement does to just about any photo. I like to study all the details in this way and on this enlargement, we get as up close as is possible without actually touching the grass and the wagon. It's a nice collection of textures. Have something to say on the Queen Mary 2 next....

Excellent! You found a collection of old treasures too. I can't wait to see what else you post.

I love this shot. The contrast between the old whatjamacallit and the grass is great.

There really is someting about rust...is can be sad but it also alludes to an another time that is missed and treasured. I love the rust against the green grass...it is so vivid.
