CULTURAL CROSSROADS
This is the corner of 24th Street and Valencia in San Francisco. You can see a section of the mural I posted several days ago. Note the billboards in Spanish. The Mission district has a little bit of everything.
Exactly Piika! I was just gonna say Photo that it's almost hard to tell when this was taken....great shot! Do you spend a lot of time in The City? I don't get there enough, sadly. Keep it...I love it! ;)
I remember the 1960's when so many of my friends decided to head out for the wonderful adventure of living in San Francisco. Some are still there, some have returned here. I know they'd love to see this photo for quite a few lived in the Mission District, I recall.
I have a passion for photography. I use my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3, so come with me and see Rocklin, California and points North, South, East and West.

What a nice surprise to see a little bit of that beautiful mural. There is such a nice feel to this shot--i guess timeless as piika writes.
I love your San Francisco pictures. It makes me want to go there even more.
San Francisco has too much spanish influence, I have to read more about that.
Great shot
It's a very nice street scene.
As many of your audience saying timeless feel of B&W is excellent choice for this particuler scene.
I love it.
I echo the use of b/w! pls bring us more of the diversity of San Francisco.

Answers the question, "Can you take a photo in any modern urban area without including someone using a cell phone?" Not likely.
Nice slice of modern life!
Great shot and nice title too!
Nice black and white picture.
Greetings from Chile
Very interesting!
Well, thanks, Photowannabe Sue -- you inspired me to go over to the Mission District early yesterday morning... Got some good shots... Must go back...
Looks great in B&W. In colour it would have been too busy.
Loved the cherry season photo. Wonderful composition.
