TIME TO PUT THEM AWAY
The time has come to put away the Christmas decorations for another year. They are pretty but I am ready to move on to other things. How about you?
Oh you are soo right. Tomorrow I am putting mine away as well. I really need to take photos of other things than Holiday Lights and stuffs.. Whew.. I do need a change. Nice shot!! :)
Well, all Kitty and I put on display this year was a few cards -- but I'm pretty sure they'll still be on display until about next Thanksgiving... And regarding those apples -- why not make a mobile out of them... They're too pretty to put away... You could have apples all year...
There are 2 things I dread about Christmas....Putting up the decorations and taking down the decorations. Call me lazy ;-) When I first saw this image I thought those things were edible. Nice shot.
Next Christmas I propose that instead of decorating your house in the traditional sense, you simply showcase your Christmas ornament photos from this year! They've all been awesome. You're right though, it's time to move on to other things.....
"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under the sun. A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill and a time to heal ... a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance ... a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to lose and a time to seek; a time to rend and a time to sew; a time to keep silent and a time to speak; a time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace."
Artist: The Byrds Lyrics Song: Turn! Turn! Turn! (to Everything There Is a Season) Lyrics To everything - turn, turn, turn There is a season - turn, turn, turn And a time for every purpose under heaven
A time to be born, a time to die A time to plant, a time to reap A time to kill, a time to heal A time to laugh, a time to weep
To everything - turn, turn, turn There is a season - turn, turn, turn And a time for every purpose under heaven
A time to build up, a time to break down A time to dance, a time to mourn A time to cast away stones A time to gather stones together
To everything - turn, turn, turn There is a season - turn, turn, turn And a time for every purpose under heaven
A time of war, a time of peace A time of love, a time of hate A time you may embrace A time to refrain from embracing
To everything - turn, turn, turn There is a season - turn, turn, turn And a time for every purpose under heaven
A time to gain, a time to lose A time to rend, a time to sew A time to love, a time to hate A time of peace, I swear it's not too late!
I have a passion for photography. I use my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3, so come with me and see Rocklin, California and points North, South, East and West.

I feel a little of sadness when my mother take the decoration off until the next year.

I like your blog.
Take care

The Byrds and the Bible!!

au revoir noel, maintenant preparons le reveillon du jour de l'an. apres les cadeaux, c'est le temps des cotillons.
goodbye Christmas, now let us prepare the midnight supper of the New Year's Day. after the gifts, it is the time of the cotillions
Happy New Year everyone!
These decorations look good enough to eat. Yes I'm ready to take my tree down. That is a project for this weekend.
Taking your decorations down already? My family doesn't take ours down until after New Years day. :-)
I understand how you feel. As much as I love them, I get tired of trying to dust around them. That chore is usually my New Years Day chore.
i did that today.. before we know it, its time to bring 'em out again
ps. Nice close-up!
