NEXT STOP MANAGUA, NICARAGUA

This will be my last post for the next 11 days. My husband and I are on our way to Managua. We are going with a team of 10 to do a children's church program, a marriage conference and humanitarian work. This is a similar to the trip we took to Haiti in August. To see my Haiti pictures go to Archives 200-08-06 and 2006-08-13 and start at the bottom of that dates archive
Nicaragua is the 2nd poorest country in the Americas. The country of Haiti being the first.
We will be staying in private homes which can be a challenge. Two years ago when we went to Esteli, Nicaragua, my husband and I stayed with a family that spoke no English and we had only 2 years of High School Spanish, which was many years ago. We gave our dictionary quite a workout. God was good and we survived. I still don't know enough Spanish to be fluent but we will do what we can. If we can help the people and meet some of their needs then our time will be well spent.
I'm looking forward to sharing pictures from this trip when we return. Until then take care and I will enjoy catching up on all your blogs too. Posted by Picasa

Have a safe trip and I'll be looking forward to seeing your shots when you return...
Reminds me that I should be thinking of humanatarian works I should be doing, instead of being so self-centered all the time... Godspeed...

Have a very safe trip.

I was catching up on visiting fellow photobloggers and I can see I've missed some very lovely photos here.

I haven't been able to visit as many sites as I would like to.
