ESTEBE

Our team did several programs while in Niquinohomo. We did a Womans Retreat, a Marriage Conference and a Children's Bible School program.
We taught some songs to the delightful children though I had to use my cheat notes because of the lack of Spanish on my part. After the songs I sat on some steps to rest and this wonderful boy named Estebe plopped himself down beside me and began to sing the songs to me. He smiled his beautiful toothless grin and we started to sing together. This brought other children over and we had a grand song fest. "They" say that music is the international language. Now I believe it.
I have tucked this away as a very special memory in my heart. Posted by Picasa

Children are the very best--our hope for the future. If only the playing field was level!!

I love these photos of the children. What charming faces they have, full of their own story. It sounds lovely, your time with them. Though not with that rooster!

Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog.

These photos of the children are soooo beautiful, and I enjoyed your story of Estebe as well. Reminds me of a missions trip to Cambodia last year and all the beautiful children I was able to meet there.
A good reminder for me to pray for them as well!
Thanks for the great photos.
