There's something special about a walk among the silent giants. Sunlight filters through the tall trees and splashes the air with gem-like shades of green and earthy browns.
Its almost like church.

Looks like a great place to walk.
Nice image and commentary.
Ohhhh, I plan on taking a trip south one day soon and definately want to get to the redwoods.
This is beautiful.
Lovely image. I like how the tree bark curves around from the back to the front.. Hiking and walking amoungst the redwoods is just sooo much fun :) :)
Well, you should be really proud of this shot, Photowannabe... Really excellent and full of mood -- words cannot adequately express... Spiritual, I guess...
This is Big Basin isn't it? I think the park (near Felton) has another name, but I've forgotten it... When I was a kid (oh so many years ago) my parents used to send me to a religious camp at Mount Hermon near there... The beauty stuck, but I'm afraid the religion didn't... Oh well...
Photoaday, maybe you're thinking of Henry Cowell State Park. This picture was taken on the way there. We were actually visiting Mt. Hermon last weekend.
Thanks for the nice comments.
Faye, I do hope you get to visit the redwoods. They are beautiful in any season.
Kekiinani, I agree that hiking in the woods is fun and thanks for looking.
Chad, thanks for your nice comments too.
Makes you want to live!
There is no place to be closer to God than alone in his great creation. Good photo.
Seems like your walking with some kind of higher power there!
Excellent highlight and shadow on the tree trunk. I wander show it looks like on B&W.
It should read "I wander how it looks like on B&W.". Sorry for typo.
I love standing right under tall trees, too. It's almost like being 'in' the tree, if you know what I mean.
